- All times given are close of registration. Events will start approximately 20 minutes after close of registration.
- Fencers not present at close of registration may be subject to withdrawal from the event or $20 fine.
- Events with fewer than 6 entries received by the entry deadline will be cancelled or combined. The deadline for registration is 11pm Wednesday March 21st. If the event is altered you will be contacted but, only if you have a contact phone number and/or email on your entry submission.
Registration
All participants must bring a singed entry form to the competition if they have not provided one with an advance registration.
- Entries are due on or before Wednesday March 21st, 2012. For this competition ONLY entries may be:
1. Online registration at Manitoba Fencing Association
2. Completed forms may be dropped off at Manitoba Fencing Association (fencingmb@shawbiz.ca Faxed to 925.5703 Attn: Fencing )
- Payment may be made in advance by cheque with dropped-off registrations. Payment will be accepted at the competition without penalty for advance registrations however late registrations will be charged an additional $20.00 fee per in addition to the regular fees. Please make cheques payable to the Manitoba Fencing Association.
- Fees: $25 for the first event entered and $20 per any additional event(s) entered; if registered on or before Wednesday March 21st, 2012. Payment can be made with registration but will also be accepted at the competition for this meet if you have pre-registered.
- Fees and signed Assumption of Risk must be received by close of registration for first event entered.
- All fencers must be currently registered members of the Canadian Fencing Federation or another national fencing association. All Manitoba fencers must be a member of a Manitoba fencing club. The Manitoba Fencing Association (MFA) reserves the right to deny entry to any person who is not in good standing with the MFA or its member clubs, including fencers for whom outstanding tournament fees are owed.
- Open events are open to fencers of all ages.
- Novice events are open to fencers of all ages who are not part/never have been part of the provincial team training program.
- Junior and Cadet for some events these will be combined for this competition based on entry levels in previous competitions: Junior (U20) fencers must be born in 1992 or later, Cadet (U17) fencers must be born in 1995 or later, U15 fencers must be born in 1997 or later and U15 events now counted towards national rankings.
Please complete your CFF registration prior to the event.
Assumption of Risk: I/we do hereby acknowledge that not unlike many other sports participating in fencing may involve inherent physical risks. I/we understand that the Manitoba Fencing Association, including all its executive members, coaches, officials, employees, athletes, volunteers and independent contractors take care and consideration to ensure that these risks are minimized during all MFA sanctioned activities and programs. I/we also acknowledge that my personal actions/behaviour may contribute to these risks and I/we accept responsibility to ensure my actions do not contribute to further risk of injury to myself or other participants.
